The pike collapse

Pike do not spawn in bays and reeds as they used to. One of the Baltic Sea’s character species and a fish we take for granted, is declining rapidly in numbers. And scientists are trying to get a picture of the situation, to save the pike left in the Baltic Sea. It’s not just about the enjoyment and experiences of recreational fishermen. Pike play an important role in preventing the Baltic Sea from becoming overgrown with seaweed and algae.
