Thousands of cod heads are hanging to dry on the quay off Husöy, a small island in the outer coastal strip of northern Norway. They will be shipped to Africa, because the whole cod is used here, from the head and tongue to the milk of the fish.
– It’s a business idea,” says Rita, one of the owners of the fishing lodge here. Because we’re going to be around forever, it’s important that we take advantage of everything.
